Three Awards for the music video produced and song I cowrote
When a random stranger photo bombs me, always smile!
When I worked as an indie artist manager, I specialized in working with independent musicians who sought management within the entertainment industry. I worked as an independent contractor under the umbrella of an entertainment company. Indie musicians are independent artists, meaning they are not represented by a record label. As a manager, I was assigned to help the artists hone in on their true talents. I assisted the artists with song production, song composition, album collaboration, contracts, performance bookings and music video production. With my history in choreography and theater I put together the themes for their music videos. Essentially an artist manager takes a group of unsystematic yet skillful musicians and refines their talents, while assisting them in appearing polished.
After dedicating countless hours to brainstorming concepts, locating the event space, finding a great director and videographer and carefully aligning the storyline with my vision for the music video, receiving recognition for my work felt surreal. The awards represent more than just a trophy; they symbolize my passion and perseverance. I dedicated most of my life to the entertainment industry, from performing in my first play at the age of four, to performing for a sold-out audience as a professional ballerina.
When you receive acknowledgment of your talents, it builds credibility and establishes a strong professional reputation. My second video production received three indie awards. I am most proud of that music video production, which was about a very serious topic. I teamed with the National Suicide Prevention Hotline to add their link in the music video description. I had a very capable production team working alongside me from 4th Street Productions. It was a long, late film set yet we were able to complete it before our deadline.
Winning an award for my work will show a future employer I do not cave under pressure. If I start a project I commit to it until the very end. I know how to delegate work to the right people who can work alongside me to finish what we started.
